Jo leads a busy life, running her dedicated Yoga studio, YogaJo’s in Milngavie on the outskirts of Glasgow. Her Yoga Teacher Training school is the result of her commitment to turning out the best most committed yoga teachers she can, who she hopes will go on to share the many benefits of yoga in an accessible way with as many people as possible.

She is an experienced 200-hour and 300 hour advanced Teacher Trainer and has trained over 150 yoga teachers. She is also a 580-hour Minded Institute Yoga Therapist and runs her yoga therapy practice from her studio.

From an astanga perspective she has been running astanga Mysore sessions and led classes since 2009 and has introduced the practice to hundreds of people.

Her passion for yoga runs deep. Rooted in the depth of transformation practising yoga brought to her own life. She has been a committed astanga yoga practitioner for 18 years but continues to explore yoga and mindfulness from its many angles, based on how she feels on a daily basis. She has studied the neuroscience and physiology of yoga in great depth and is able to help students approach the astanga practice from the perspective of having it serve them well in relationship to what they need in their lives at any given time. She strongly believes our practice should nourish and not drain us and we must regularly adapt from a place of understanding to have it serve us well.

She is a registered Yoga Alliance Professionals Senior Teacher with over 13,000 hours of teaching and over 1,600 hours of training, training in India and all over the world with some of the world’s top astanga yoga teachers but in particular she has trained extensively with David Keil, a world renowned and gifted astanga and yoganatomy teacher. Jo’s own teaching style is heavily influenced by what she has learned from David. In March 2014 she travelled to Mysore in India for one month to study with Sharath Jois at the home of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga.

She is excited to bring a specific astanga training to her teacher training school and to be sharing her years of experience of both practicing and sharing the practice with those who would also like to share it.
