Teen Yoga

A fun class for teens 13+ to disconnect from technology and connect with themselves.
Being a teenager can be stressful especially with the added influence of technology it can be difficult to find time to connect with ourselves and relieve these stresses.

Through yoga we can bringing a better awareness to our bodies to ease tight muscles, promote healthy bone growth and most importantly bring a sense of stillness to our overstimulated minds. Karis our teens teacher knows this to be true as she started yoga herself when she was only 13.

Through yoga we can improve our ability to have control over our emotions and direct our focus which is super useful in our studies and a skill to cary with us for life.

It doesn’t matter where you are at in your yoga journey this class is fun and light hearted. Aimed to meet yourself where you are at and to provide a moment of self care whilst building strength and flexibility.

This class runs to school term times on Tuesdays from 4.45 to 5.45 pm. For details of the current block look under workshops.

Your teens teacher is Karis Knight. About Karis:

Teen yoga with Karis

I discovered yoga through this wonderful studio when I was only 13. I used to come to YogaJo’s with my mum and I always found it such a lovely way to spend my weekend. Since then I fell in love with yoga and what it can do, the healing properties it carries for mind body and spirit. I have since taken courses in yoga for children with additional needs at the studio and it was from here I wanted to further increase my training after seeing the impact that Yoga can have in our daily lives. This led to me to training as a teacher with Jo on her teacher training programme.
I am looking forward to teaching teens yoga at the studio as I know how much of an impact discovering yoga at a young age had on my life. I cant wait to offer that to other young people in an accessible, fun and lighthearted way.
